Basic hotel with weird entrance and very snooty staff in the Luminair Bar upstairs. Great location and views but very small bathroom (despite giant room) and just not friendly at all. Maybe just busy but would not recommend at all.

The property was excellent and we had a brilliant stay, however I would make one or two comments. Firstly the hotel is undergoing renovations which limits the facilities available. Secondly, while the family room was lovely and spacious, it was very poorly designed. There was no mirror with a seat or natural light to put on makeup, no seats to eat food at and nowhere to plug a hair dryer in by a mirror. Finally, while the staff were excellent, there was not a single instance when we didn’t have to queue / wait for attention at reception. These are just niggles though and I would happily stay here again.

Very nice hotel, walking distance to center of town, restaurants, etc. Felt safe, even though very close to the train station. The cleaning staff did not keep room well stocked. We had to call to get toilet paper and body wash replenished and to replace a tv remote that didn’t work. But the calls were answered promptly and after 2 tries each, the staff brought the right items. There’s a grocery store nearby. I recommend buying your own soap, toilet paper and lots of drinking water. Then your stay will be perfect.

The good: Great location and view, and fairly new property The bad: Only cleaned the room after we requested after we returned from dinner after 8 PM, both nights. Breakfast was very poor, limited options that most were cold or unappealing, omelette and eggs were undercooked, coffee not available until I pointed it out that the pot was empty again. Despite being fairly new, the lobby was being refurbished and ended up being very small and usually in chaos. Not enough staff working to handle the number of guests. We got a small and lesser room than I reserved but was actually charged most. They increased the price from what I was quoted and confirmed by Expedia. Overall, way overpriced for the service and experience

Good location for Amsterdam Central Station
The hotel is located very close to the Amsterdam Central Train Station (about 5 mins walk). The construction around the surrounding area makes it difficult to get accurate pick up location for Uber and to find the front entrance. You don’t hear the train station noise inside the room; however, the air conditioner noise is sometimes loud and makes a rattling sound.
