Budget stay

Very budget and small room but practical use of the small room. Since it is small and cramped, ventilation is poor. Bed wasn't very comfortable but manageable. Service was very very amazing. Staff are very helpful. You cam walk 2 minutes out to the gvb line to take you to Amsterdam city center. Also nearby food and grocery stores/shops. Great location.

I had a nice stay at this hotel. Everything was perfect – the room was nice and clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly, funny, and communicative. I truly enjoyed my stay here. The staff was so friendly and created such a great and safe vibe. We loved coming back at night just to hangout in the lobby with board games. The hotel itself was very quiet. One note for certain guests is that there is a step down into the room and a step up to get into the shower. That might hinder some people. The area is easy to get to, with two different tram lines nearby plus a bus that goes directly to the airport. It may be a little bit out from the city center but it feels safe. Most importantly as a woman I felt safe being here. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

We only stayed one night at Citiez Hotel and it was great for that short stay, but based on my personal preference I probably would not return for a longer stay. Here are some details about our stay and the place: -staff was absolutely wonderful and so friendly -hotel is located right in a plaza/ outdoor shopping centre type area, which can be good or bad depending on what you’re looking for. I loved the convenience -the rooms are SMALL. Like pretty much no room to even open a suitcase small -there’s a tram stop and bus stops really close (~2 minute walk), but this area is quite far away from the city center -when I researched this neighbourhood, I saw a lot of people calling it sketchy. The further from the central city you get, I can see how tourists might feel less comfortable, but I found this area to be very safe (bused and walked back from the club ~3am and it was fine). Just be aware of your surroundings and you’ll be okay. Although, it’s not busy at night like the central areas so that can make you uneasy -overall, I’d say it was a great option for a short stay
