First room we checked in had dirty towels hanging on the door, toilet was running when we walked in. Went back to front desk and the staff was less then apologetic and said she would come get the towels! I was like how do I know the room was cleaned??

Nice place to stay, very quiet, and excellent part of town right by Iowa State. The only downside is it’s a really big place, so you may have to walk far to get from your room to breakfast or the pool. It could use another elevator in the farther hall. But the pool and hot tub were nice, breakfast was okay, and I would stay here again.

Their continental breakfast is good. Rooms were clean. The only thing that i didnt like about the hotel was the television. Not very many selections and the channels came in like they were from the seventies. Not clear at all. Also no guide so no way to tell what the channels were until you clicked through them.

Our room had no bedsheets, the pillows have stains. The sink was plugged up. There was like burn mark on the mattress cover, like someone had smoked in it. The upstairs room was loud, and you can hear both rooms next doors. You can hear every door slammed. I am not impressed.

Simple hotel room at outrageous cost

Graduation weekend in a University town drove hotel prices into crazy range (typical is $120 - we paid this weekend $450) rice in no way is in perspective with the accommodation. Pretty old hotel, all amenities in working order, but old and outdated. Highlight is the 24h coffee automatic in the lobby. This is splendit. The individually wrapped coffee plastic cups reminded of Covid times- also not necessary in my mind. Beds were clean and comfortable.

Our stay was disappointing, especially given the high rate we paid for graduation week. After a long day of graduation the day before and packing/loading the moving van throughout the day, we were eager to use the hot tub, only to find it scalding hot—completely unusable. I normally enjoy the water quite hot but this was dangerously hot and we could not get into the water even after trying to give our feet and legs time to acclimate to the temperature. Despite multiple attempts and inquiries, we were met with rudeness and dismissiveness from the front desk. Staff insisted it had been checked and was 102°F, but it clearly wasn't. I asked if the temperature could be re-tested but was told that no maintenance was available, When asked if there was any chance that we could just use the temperature gauge to verify we were basically dismissed . Very disappointing experience but I guess now we knew why we had not seen anybody in the hot tub throughout the duration of our stay.

We stay at this hotel one time a month on business. The breakfast is always well done. Love the coffee maker machine. Prices for this hotel are also reasonable.
