The atmosphere of the place was nice but was given a key to a room that was occupied so that was not good elevator did not work on one side and was not informed phone call to front desk clerk was more important than getting me the right key thanks to the dog in the room I didn’t walk in on someone

Stopped for an overnight stay while traveling. My first time doing self check-in. It was efficient and easy. It appears that they are in a remodeling mode. One negative was the road noise from the interstate highway. We were on the side closest to the highway. If this seems like it could be a problem for you, I would request a room on the opposite side. Overall, it worked great for our needs.

The rooms are nothing like the pictures online. We did stay in a renovated room and it looked nothing like the pictures online. Cats were in the eating area at breakfast. Front desk was not available in the morning.

It's ok for the price I paid.

Looks like they're in the middle of a remodel. In my room the mattress was flat on one side and the other was lumpy. The blinds didn't close all the way on the entry door or the window in the back. The shower had nice tile and a nice counter but the tub and everything else was very old. The building itself was pretty nice with tons of potential, just sad I didn't get to stay there when it was finished.

Very cute, as advertised. We never could get the remote to work completely and one of the elevators being broken, was not convenient. The staff was super nice when we checked in and just ok upon check out. The kids would stay again just for the indoor pool and mini golf!

We were rebooked here after our original hotel was overbooked. They called in advance and told us, and told us they could put us at the big Texan for no additional charge. It didn’t match what we saw online, and we reserved a much nicer hotel. I asked if the room was the same, but despite being told yes it was not a King Room it was a double bed set up. Disappointed. Worked out for a one night stay but feel like we got cheated a bit.

The pictures of the rooms are very misleading as the room we stayed in was not renovated and not in good condition. It was also missing an iron/ironing board and when asked, they didn’t have any extra for us to use. I would suggest you call the hotel yourself if you’d like to stay here and ask for a renovated room.

I was a bit skeptical after reading some reviews but was throughly pleased with property. It was beautiful inside. The added boutiques were a fun surprise. I was greeted with warm smiles and fresh baked cookies! Facility was clean and definitely up to date on decor and amenities. Convenient location, easy to get on the interstate. The only negative was pictures showed a walk in shower in king suite and we had a regular bath/shower combo.

Not As Advertised

I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience at the Cactus Cove Hotel was disappointing enough that I feel compelled to warn others. The photos and descriptions online painted a completely different picture than what we actually encountered. What was advertised as a charming and comfortable stay turned out to be an old, dingy, and unkempt hotel. From the moment we walked in, it was clear the place hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. The lobby had a musty smell, and the carpets looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. Our room was even worse — dust on every surface, stains on the bedding, and a bathroom that felt like a health hazard. There was hair in the shower, grime on the floor, and the towels were threadbare and stained. To make matters worse, the customer service was terrible. The front desk staff acted like we were inconveniencing them just by checking in. When we politely brought up the issues with the cleanliness of our room, they were dismissive and made no effort to address the situation. No apology, no offer to switch rooms, nothing. This hotel may have been something decent in the past, but now it feels neglected and poorly managed. Save yourself the frustration — this place is not worth your time or money.

The hotel itself was good and we will stay here again. It was nice to have an area for kids as we have 2 littles that enjoy running around. We were not expecting the party atmosphere when evening hit but that was a minor thing. The rooms are fairly quiet unless someone is sprinting and screaming in front of your door. Beds were cleans, bathroom was clean, floors were clean. Breakfast was limited but did have a nice choice at the grill for an additional cost.
