We all slept well and the beds were comfortable. So if you are just looking for a quick, reasonable overnight that is right off of the freeway while traveling through the panhandle like we were, this will get the job done.
However, know that this is a very old motel that is being given an inexpensive facelift. I’ve stayed in a number of La Quintas while traveling cross country and this was the roughest one I’ve stayed in. The photos on this site are deceiving so just know that, if you decide to book.
Our room had been renovated but was still in rough condition with scrape marks on the walls and fixtures coming apart. Door scanner to get back into the lobby was broken, old furniture and fixtures from the rooms being renovated were scattered around the parking lot and stairways.
Doors to the rooms are on the exterior so open to the parking lot. Not a big deal for some but is something to be aware of you are not comfortable with that.
It wasn’t what I expected from La Quinta at all. The water in the tub/shower did not get hot. The floor was sticky and the room seemed unclean. The renovations going on with the hotel just made it feel like a construction zone.
The room we get has bedbugs we have to call to the office to report the room has bedbugs they give us an other room but we was uncomfortable to sleep my wife was attacked by the bedbugs not good the room was dirty

Its a convenient hotel off the freeway but that also means you hear all the freeway traffic. You'll also hear everyone ordering from Taco Bell. There's 4 restaurants within walking distance (Dennys, Wendys, Taco Bell and Arbys). The water pressure in the shower is very low but the water pressure in the sink is very high. The TV stopped workinf after the first night butbit was windy so I'll give them an excuse the wind messed with the cable. The room was clean but just needed a really good scrub woth some elbow grease but you get what you pay for.
Stayed here recently and it was a huge letdown. Room 161 was dirty, there were bugs around the room, and the shower didn’t even work right — you had to turn it to cold to get any kind of hot water. The area around the motel looks pretty rough too, not exactly a place you want to hang around outside. Honestly, the only good thing I can say is that there were places to eat nearby. The photos online make it look way better than it is. Fix your stuff, man.
In great condition. Parking lot is very well lit and breakfast was good.

Traveling alone and safety of area
There was a man outside sleeping in his truck (made me nervous) and the room was less than steller. It was ok, but not extremely clean. The worst part was I took a shower, washed my hair and no blow dryer....went to the front desk to borrow one and she said they are in storage and only maintenance has a key. So I went to be with wet hair.
The lady at the front desk the morning ofapril 6th
It was absolutely amazing the front desk chtisti was so good and very helpful she is good at what she does even helped us with our reservations

Check in was smooth. Front desk personnel was very nice and professional. Room is very old (with exception to the bathroom sink area). Have to get in the shower before you can turn the water in. Floor is pretty dirty. Had to wear shoes. We stay in lots of LaQuintas. This is not a good one. Management needs to get on this. And they charge $50 deposit after I have given them a credit card. Makes me wonder if this is a bad area of town. I usually give good reviews. This one isn’t it.
