The location was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. However, the alarms would randomly go off for no apparent reason.
A suggestion for improvement: The notice on the laundry room door should mention that an ID is required to gain access. When I went to use the facility, the sign stated that a key was needed and could be obtained at the front desk—no problem. However, when I went down, no one was there, and I had to wait about five minutes for someone to appear. That’s when I was told I also needed my ID.
I went back up to my room—fortunately, it was near the elevator—grabbed my ID, and returned to the front desk, only to find that the staff member had disappeared again. I waited another five minutes. Two cleaning staff members (off the clock) arrived but didn’t acknowledge me. When the front desk employee finally returned, she spoke in Spanish with the cleaning staff, making rude remarks about me, assuming I wouldn’t understand. When I let them know I did, they were shocked and nervous, expecting me to make a scene as more guests arrived.
By that point, I was exhausted. I just wanted to do my laundry so I could pack and head home the next morning.
Another suggestion: If staff need to step away, a sign indicating when they’ll return would be helpful. I’m a patient person and understand if someone needs a break, but clear communication would improve the experience.
