The Saxon Inn was a little more than we were looking for, but it's on the Alfred University campus which made it super convenient. It is a nice little inn with a very friendly staff.

A refreshing alternative to chain hotels
This was my second time staying at the Saxon Inn, and it did not disappoint! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The place is quaint and clean. I feel like you are stepping out of the rat race when you check in to a nice calm and relaxing environment.

Friendliest welcome ever
Friendliest person at the front desk I’ve ever encountered. She told us all about the history of the Inn and showed us to our room and where the breakfast room was. Above and beyond.
