First impression trying to check in- there was no where to park close to unload. We had to park on the street around the block, carry all our luggage, walk through people smoking and drinking alcohol on the sidewalk. Once we reached the entrance we had to climb up a flight of stairs to find the check in desk. The lobby is beautiful, but finding your room is a maze, no signs to help you know which hall to go down. The room smelled musty. The mini fridge wasn’t plugged in. They did have a coffee maker, but you can’t run the coffee maker and the mini fridge at the same time. All in all, I enjoyed the historical aspects of the hotel, but would not stay here again. Just visit the lobby.

10:30 on a Friday night and there were people stumbling around drunk all around the property. Booking said free parking, but they do not have parking. When we arrived, I was told we could park in the public parking across the street, which is where all of the club patrons were parking or find a place on the street.

The parking was less than desirable … on the street … limited parking. Ease of unloading belongings … not too much conversation with management about how to, and where to park, and how to get to and from one’s room … would have been helpful. The restaurant and food service were very good and the room was fine. I realize the place is historical but I think you could update some of your e customer service perspective to some of the issues mentioned. End result … I would stay at the Holiday Inn a block away and eat at the Bentley Hotel resstsurant.

If you want breakfast this hotel isn’t for you nor are the hotels close by. Downtown by the hotel was like a ghost town. Granted I was there on a Sunday/monday but alot of buildings boarded up and for sale.
