Crowded and loud but decent

The staff was very friendly, check in was a breeze. The room was clean. The room was overlooking the pool, and it seemed someone was having a birthday party. So it was very loud all day Saturday and Sunday. Didn't use the pool, but wouldn't have been able to if wanted.

Dirty, used towels with blood on them. Dirty rooms. Hallways smell like cigarette smoke and weed even though this is a no smoking hotel. Loud, noisy neighbors constantly slamming doors and playing loud music. Do not recommend.

The staff was wonderful! Extremely friendly. The pool is awesome and the pool lounge area is amazingly comfortable! We stayed an extra day we loved it so much! My grand daughter loved hanging out in the pool and lounge area! There are many ‘picture taking sitting areas’ to take portable pics to social media! I highly recommend this hotel if u are visiting in the Albany area. It is conveniently located near malls and all the Albany attractions such as the NYS museum and the Vita Aquarium and movie theaters.

We arrived very late at night and the rooms we were given were not up to par. They were in poor condition, and in one of them the toilet was not working However, upon request we were relocated to much better rooms the next morning. What could have been a bad experience became much better very quickly. The hotel staff moved mountains to make sure our stay was beyond adequate. Would come back here again! Thank you Albany Airport Inn!!

The service and workers are very attentive. I felt as if the hotel could be kept up with more because of old and unclean bathrooms and the fact that the rooms share a door with the pool. This added noice and caution as to who could access the room.

Not worth the money you save

This hotel is absolutely disgusting! The health department should come in and shut it down. We were in town for a dance competition, it was me and my two daughters 15&1. When we first arrived I noted that the outside doors did not lock, this was a pretty big concern, traveling alone with kids. The first room we were given was subpar at first glance but I figured for the price it was what it was, we went to comp and grabbed some disinfectant on the way back. As we went to climb into bed there were dirty hand prints and blood on the sheets, I called the desk and they gave us a new room on the second floor, after packing everything up and getting to our new room and making it past what appeared to be someone living under the stairs; it was again gross but the kids were exhausted and it was only a two night stay. There was chipped paint everywhere the walls were stained the bathroom was atrocious and thank god I didn’t see the condition of the mattress before the end of our stay or I probably would have lost my cool. This stay is definitely not worth the cheaper price. I wish we would have just commuted each day. Also the pool was green with a layer of some kind of scum on the top of it and was filled with children in regular diapers.

A Management Issue:

The room has a back door which leads to the swimming pool. It has been unlocked and anyone from the pool area can enter the room easily without having noticed. The door security lock is broken as well. The wake up call was forgotten. The establishment needs some attention.

For the price, it was actually worth it. Breakfast was very convenient and basic but had everything we needed. Just wish the carpet was cleaner in the hallways and the room. The dark color of the carpet made me not trust it because you couldn’t tell if it was clean .

Not the best stay

When we got there we had to wait 30 minutes to check in because the front desk attendant was missing. We rented 2 rooms, one of which was for 2 nights the other only night and were very disappointed overall. Rooms are advertised to have tubs but yet they don’t work. They also don’t have shower mats for safety and because of this my son fell and was hurt. The manager did comp 1 room for 1 night over this matter. Breakfast is a bit lacking as you get a breakfast sandwich, cereal or have to wait to use the toaster or waffle maker as they only have 1 of each. As much as I appreciate thinking my room was clean but you dumping a bottle of chemicals to make the room smell clean doesn’t make it so. Maybe next time take the actual time to clean it. The floors were sticky and dirty. The caulk along the tub was black and gross. The mirrors had splatter and streaks all over it. The room with the chemical smell even had the previous guests soap still on the shower. I’m really glad we booked the way we did that way I didn’t have to stay in that second room a second night. And we had a “Clean” shower to use with our other room. There was good to this hotel, the shower (that we did use) does have great water pressure and gets nice and hot. The pool was honestly the better part of the stay. The outside “garden” to sit and relax or bbq was a nice touch as well. But the best part was Lily, she was so kind and helpful in anyway she could considering her limitations of what she’s provided.
