The property is New and easy to get around the city. The hotel is clean and modern. Dining was convenient and many areas to lounge. The rooms are Amazing and comfortable. Really enjoyed my last minute stay!

Very nice property. If you have business or activity in downtown Abilene it is perfect. Staff was very cordial. They do charge for parking which seemed a little extravagant given the area and it wasn’t protected or covered. That is really my only complaint. A couple of nice restaurants are an easy walk away. Would definitely stay here again.

The Doubletree Abilene
Most of the hotels in Abilene, Texas are either on I-20 as the interstate skirts the north edge of town or on the southwest which is the direction Abilene grew. The Doubletree is in a one-year-old building right downtown next to the convention center. You could smell the new. The hotel is equipped with a bar and restaurant. An outdoor pool and indoor exercise center were on second floor. Rooms are spiffy and equipped with 48-inch plasma TV's. I recommend this hotel. Staff answered my questions and researched information I needed.
