There was no towels, soap, shampoo, was told there was a staff shortage and laundry department didnt have enough towels in stock. Only received two bath towels and two hand towels. Hotel’s restaurant was also shutdown. Prior to booking with Expedia they said only two rooms left at current price and no king size beds available, so opted for two queens. Upon arriving at the property in evening, the parking lot wasn't even 1/10 full. Its a bit deceiving by Expedia.

Room had lights lights out, broken fireplace, no coffee, windows for ocean view were so dirty we could not see the ocean. When we cleaned the windows, there was still so much condensation between the window pains that you still could not see out. Balcony furniture was dirty and stained not to mention the 2 inch standing water that made it not worth going outside for the view. We have been here many times over the years and it had been getting outdated but this was terrible. We will not be coming back to say the least!

I love the location and I think this place could be really great if the company put a little money into upkeep and updates. Very run down once in person and they haven’t had a restaurant or bar since 2019. The room was comfy but we bought a top floor suite and when we went out on the balcony the chairs were covered in green moss and moldy slimy stuff. You would think they would have made sure the stuff was clean before guests got there.

Good trip to the ocean

The hotel room was large and accommodated us well! The only complaint I have was that the toilet was not clean when we arrived to our room! Made me a little worried what else might not be clean. The staff that we did come in contact with were friendly. The hotel is old and outdated but has a pool which made my kids happy! Wished they had breakfast since it was difficult to find a place to eat and had to resort to McDonald’s which we didn’t want to do! Overall we had a nice trip and will likely stay at The Shilo Inn again due to convenience and price!

We really had a great time however the first night out of two , the pull out couch was broken and there was no blankets are anything for it so I slept very uncomfortable on couch , however the young desk guy would have helped if I didnt have a couple people sleeping in the room already . Was over all pretty good and clean , no coffee which is okay as it was not there fault delivery was delayed . Pool was wonderful , place is pretty and desk staff and maintenance are very professional and kind and happy to help quests . Would stay there again for sure . Everybody very friendly there .

After admiring this hotel & its great location from afar for years, we finally booked our family there this past Presidents Day weekend. I wasnt notified until Thursday (when it was too late to cancel), that their restaurant is closed so there would be no food service at the hotel at all. Then, when we arrived, we were told they didnt get the coffee order, so no coffee pods in the rooms. The lobby is a nice grand entrance...until you look closer and notice the broken tiles on the floor and the giant dirty fish tanks dividing the pool & lobby. The beds were showing their age and the sofa pull-out bed was in really poor shape. Luckily our 11 year-old didnt care too much. I'd have to say the real kicker came on Saturday afternoon, after we'd all been swimming in their pool. We noticed the bathroom was only stocked for 2 people, so I called down for 2 more towels. The guy at the desk told me they were completely out of clean towels!! Overall, a very disappointing hotel stay. Which is such a shame since this place has a perfect location for beach & town access! I really hope the Shilo chain decides to either put money into fixing it up or just sells it quickly so a new owner can fix it before summertime!

I guess you get what you pay for. cleanliness for an extra fee. could write my name in the dust. the bed was good, how can a renter know he isn't getting a certain level of cleanliness based on what he pays, or what the facility has to pay Expedia? restaurant closed, out of coffee in the room, maybe just in the online rooms?

No dining area, no shampoo, no conditioner, no coffee, hallway was filled with dirty laundry and dishes in front of our door. There was a dirty towel hanging in the bathroom. The toilet flooded the bathroom with one flush, I called the front desk 5 times and had to go down because no one answered. Used to be one of our favorite places to stay but it isn’t anymore.

There is no breakfast there is no coffee or close delivery doesn’t start until 9:30 in the morning in the area. Even the TV was a 1990s TV and the lampshade look like it been through 30 years of dust. There was dog hair all over the couch.
