The property was fine, at little run down. The swimming pool, gym and spa area were good and well run - lovely outdoor spaces. I felt my room needed more attention - pillows were flat and stained, generally a bit dustry and mould in the shower.

Royal Deeside Break
Amazing hotel, great food and good facilities but did need a car to go anywhere. We couldn’t walk down to the river which we had hoped we could, the hotel grounds were nice but didn’t include the river :( and no public transport to get into Aberdeen for a night out so taxi or driving and with a week long stay we did want to try out different venues for food. Location of hotel was great for getting out along Royal Deeside, into Aberdeen, down to Stonehaven and many other great places in the area.

Enjoyed our stay, it was our fourth visit. Location is good, especially for access to the city by car. Staff work hard and are friendly. Food is to a high standard and breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Some of the furniture needs re-covered or updated. The cleanliness is not up to the same high standard it was previously. Main areas are cleaned but not aroubd the edges or ceilings, plenty cobwebs. Hoping to return again

Check in slow as only 1 member of staff on. TV not working - eventually got moved to another room. In new room windows would not close! Heating made a noise. Key card failed to allow me entry to my room. On leaving receptionist wanted £39 for room service which I never ordered (I didnt even know they did room service as there is no menu on details in the room!) It looks grand externally but on the inside the walls and carpets are marked and seats in the reception area were damaged.

Chilled out at Ardoe House (Hotel&Spa)
We came here for a much needed “chill” break. It was just perfect. We had a privilege room with a king size bed. It was very spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable. The pool, sauna, steam room and spa areas are immaculate. All of the staff are very polite, courteous, extremely helpful and friendly. There was a great selection of food at breakfast and both restaurants in the hotel offer a very high standard of food. Not worth the money
Attended a wedding at the beginning of October and booked to stay the night. When i contacted the hotel to book with the wedding discount code, noone could tell us the price with the discount, i ended up booking on a different booking app.On checking in to our room it appeared ok.After the wedding meal which was poor, part of the meal was missing and it was cold. We went back to the room for my wife to get her medication only to discover none of the lights were working. after 3 attempts to contact reception someone came to the room and said they would try to find us another room. After waiting for about 30 minutes she came back to tell us we had a room on another floor. There was no offer of help to get our stuff together in the dark and move rooms. The new room was dirty, cobwebs in the bedroom,windowsills paint coming off and bathroom mould on the tiles around shower. Cost of drinks extertionate £13.95 for a small glass of white wine !! Only 1 person serving at bar who had to keep going to another bar for drinks and change and glassess. When there is an event on surely you would make sure there is enough staff on bar and bar is stocked with drinks,glassess and change. Breakfast was ok. I would not be recommending this hotel it is in need of a makeover.
